«In the summer of 2016, I decided to go to Stalingrad to make portraits of the migrants and Sudanese refugees who were camping in the streets, waiting to be given shelter and a status by the authorities. They were happy to be drawn and painted ; it was important for them to be represented, to create a contact with the Parisian population and to be visible.
